"THE GRACE OF FEMININITY" - July Monthly Fashion Focus

I didn’t start fashion blogging because I absolutely love it.

I’m going to be honest.

IT’S A LOT OF WORK.

Going into my closet, pulling out clothes, ironing them….

Let me just stop at the ironing part.

I HATE IRONING.

I skip over wearing most things if they need to ironed.

Its one of the worst things in life to have to do.

Pulling out an ironing board, or steamer, and going over clothes, getting every nook and cranny……Yeah…..I HATE IT.

Then pairing all of the accessories and shoes, and hair……Just to take a few pictures and video.

You have to understand.

I don’t dress like this in everyday life.

90% of the time I do not wear makeup, and prefer casual, and comfortable attire.

If you see me out and about, the contrast in my blog attire and everyday life is evident.

I’m no slouch.

But it’s unreasonable to be THIS fabulous everyday for no good reason.

So if you catch me out in the grocery store, at the gym, or at the park....don't be disappointed okay?

Okay.

I started blogging for a few reasons, one of which being that I wanted to make a statement.

My statement is layered and loaded.

There is something that I'm trying to say and emphasize with every look that I put together or share.

But the foundation of what I’m trying to convey is the GRACE OF FEMININITY.

I want to reflect what it means to not only be a woman, but a LADY.

There is a difference.

You can be one, but not the other.

And my hope is that we arrive to the place of being BOTH.

In a day and time where sex appeal is pushed over modesty, and the theme that “less is more” has been widely adopted, my heart is to show that when modesty is done the right way, it is still sexy, but not in a lustful, overtly sexual way.

Its sexy in a feminine way that is pure.

Contrary to popular belief…..YES, these two can coexist.

They can live together in a perfect marriage.

And its possible to be all woman, modest, and still reflect the sexual nature that God gave before it was misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and perverted by culture.

I believe in the beauty of what it means to be a woman.

And to fully live in this reality is another way to reveal the reflection of God.

There is a way that a woman moves, speaks, acts, reacts, walks, talks, laughs, breathes......LIVES that God imparted to us as another reflection of his creativity and intention.

Somehow the lines have gotten blurred and muddied....confused...and interrupted.

I know that we are all not the same.

But here is my interpretation.

I can show you better than I can tell you.
